Wondering what to make for dinner tonight? You don’t have to go out and buy takeout. These three quick meals for bachelors who don’t want to cook.

Shrimp and Grits

When you are looking for quick meals fro bachelors, shrimp comes to the top.

The first step is to cook the grits according to package instructions. While the grits are cooking, season the shrimp with Old Bay seasoning, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side or until they’re opaque and slightly charred around the edges.

Once the grits are cooked, stir in some sharp cheddar cheese and a bit of milk or cream until you have a smooth consistency. Top the grits with the shrimp and garnish with green onions, diced tomatoes, and hot sauce, if desired. Serve immediately.

Chili

Chili is the perfect winter comfort food. It’s hearty, filling, and can be made in under 30 minutes. Plus, it’s easy to customize to your liking. Add some extra spice with jalapeños or top with sour cream and cheese. This chili recipe is simple and delicious and will leave you warm and satisfied all winter.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

a cup of onion, diced

1 green pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (15-ounce) can of diced tomatoes

One (15-ounce) can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 (15-ounce) can of black beans, drained and rinsed

One tablespoon of chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper

Toppings of your choice: sour cream, cheese, jalapeños, etc.

Instructions:

In a large pot over medium heat, cook the beef until browned. Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic, and cook until softened. Add the tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and heated through. Serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup

Grilled cheese is one of the all-time great comfort foods. It’s warm, it’s gooey, and it always hits the spot. What’s not to love? And while grilled cheese is traditionally thought of as a summer food, we think it’s perfect for winter, too. Just pair it with a piping-hot bowl of tomato soup, and you’re good to go.

This meal comes together in a snap. First, toast your bread in the oven or on the stovetop. While the bread is toasting, heat up your soup. Once the bread is nice and crispy, assemble your sandwiches with your favorite cheese (we like cheddar or Swiss) and top with a spoonful of soup. Serve immediately and enjoy!
