Grey hairs is something that most of us dread. We all want to look our best, but as we get older, it’s inevitable that grey hair will begin to appear. While some people choose to dye their hair in an effort to cover up their grey strands, there are healthier ways of dealing with this problem. In this article I’m going to discuss how you can use natural skincare products and lifestyle changes in order to avoid or even reverse your grey hair.
Avoiding stress
One of the most common causes of grey hair is stress. When you are stressed out, your body produces excess cortisol and if you’re genetically predisposed to greying hair, this can trigger premature greying. Stress also makes your scalp dry, leading to dandruff and other problems like acne or oily skin on your head.
Stress can also cause hair loss in general—not just grey hairs but all types of hair loss like male pattern baldness (balding) or female pattern baldness (alopecia). The good news is that by reducing stress levels, it will help reduce all these symptoms as well!
Using coconut oil
If you want to get rid of your grey hair naturally and save money, one option is to use coconut oil. Coconut oil contains Vitamin E, which helps with cell regeneration and promotes healthy skin and hair growth. It also contains lauric acid that fights off bacteria and fungi in the scalp (which can contribute to hair loss) by creating a natural barrier on its surface.
Lauric acid has also been shown to reduce dandruff by attacking fungus from within the scalp. Coconut oil does not only help regrow natural color but it also helps stop grey hairs from growing back as easily – meaning you won’t have to keep applying it as often!
You can apply coconut oil directly onto your scalp twice a month if you want thick locks full of shine again; just massage the excess amount into your strands before bedtime so they absorb all those beneficial nutrients while they sleep (you don’t have time for that now?). After 20 minutes or so, wash out with shampoo – preferably organic!
Maintaining a healthy diet
To maintain a healthy diet, you should eat foods rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants help to reduce oxidative stress on your body and prevent premature aging. Some good examples of antioxidant-rich foods include berries, citrus fruits, dark leafy greens and tomatoes. You should also avoid eating too much salt or fat as these can increase your blood pressure which could lead to increased wrinkling of the skin around your eyes.
Foods rich in vitamin C such as oranges, strawberries and kale will also help to keep your skin looking youthful by helping to promote collagen production that keeps it firm and elastic. Other great sources for vitamin E include nuts like almonds; however if you have a nut allergy then try seeds instead such as sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds instead! Finally supplementing with natural vitamin A can be another way to keep that youthful glow going strong!
Massaging your scalp
Massaging your scalp is a great way to stimulate hair growth, improve circulation and remove dead skin cells from the surface of your scalp.
You can either use your fingers or a brush to massage the scalp, but be careful not to scratch it as this can cause breakage. The best time to do this is after a shower when the pores in your scalp are open, allowing for increased absorption of nutrients.
