Two Great Fast-Day Drinks: Sweet Potato Smoothies And Matcha Coconut Water

Your favourite drink is back and better than ever! The sweet potato smoothie was a frequent fast-day drinks for me in the past, but this one packs an extra punch. Not only does it taste great, but it’s also full of nutrition.

Sweet potato smoothie

The sweet potato smoothie is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This delicious drink is a good source of potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C and contains an impressive amount of fibre. Sweet potatoes also contain beta carotene, which converts to vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A helps to keep eyes healthy and improve vision in dim light conditions such as night driving or photography.

Energy-boosting, fat-burning smoothie

This smoothie is packed with the nutrients you need to keep your energy levels high and your mind clear. Sweet potatoes are a source of vitamin A, which helps protect vision and boosts immunity; they’re also full of vitamin C, which is necessary for healthy skin and bones; they contain B6, which helps manage stress levels; they have plenty of E (alpha-tocopherol), an antioxidant that protects against free radicals; and finally, they contain potassium, a mineral that keeps blood pressure low. Many health professionals consider sweet potatoes one of nature’s most perfect foods because so much goodness can be found in them!

Matcha coconut water

Matcha is a type of green tea linked to many health benefits. It’s rich in antioxidants, fibre, magnesium and vitamins A, C and E. It’s also high in chlorophyll—an important nutrient that helps keep our cells healthy.

In addition to its taste being pleasant on its own (in my opinion), matcha has a very mild flavour that makes it easy to add to smoothies without overpowering them or masking any other ingredients you may use as sweeteners or flavourings. I highly recommend experimenting with different recipes!

Matcha for Fast-Day drinks

Matcha comes from the same tea plant as regular green tea but is not just any green tea.

For one thing, they’re hand-pick and then left to wither in the sun for about a week. Then you can steam them to prevent oxidization (the process of becoming rancid).

Another difference is that matcha has more antioxidants than other green teas because it’s made from the whole leaf instead of just the stem and bud—thus retaining more nutrients.

Conclusion

I hope this article has given you some ideas for your Fast-Day drinks and smoothie. If you’re looking for an energy-boosting and fat-burning drink, go with the sweet potato smoothie. If you’re looking for something that combines the benefits of green tea and dark chocolate all in one drink, try matcha coconut water.
